In addition to the few aspects added in season 3, all main cast members from seasons 1-3 of Stranger Things return for season 4. Stranger Things was always one of the most popular and visual shows in Netflix, and so it was only a matter of time before season 4 was revealed. There is still no official announcement of release date, and it is expected that Stranger Things will return in late 2020 for season 4.

Stranger Things season 3 ended dramatically with Chief Hopper’s surprising cliffhanger, but the first Season of the four teaser trailer quickly reversed this revelation. Many years of season 3 went around the Russian mystery story, including tributes to classic 80s films such as The Terminator. While Alexei, the favorite fan of the breakout, was killed in the final of season 3, it seems that there is still a strong Russian presence at season 4.

Finn Wolfhard As Mike Wheeler

Eleven’s teenage paramour and another of the main characters of Stranger Things, Finn Wolfhard returns for season 4 as Mike Wheeler. Mike was one of the first people who met Eleven in the first season, and both soon formed a strong bond that evolved into teenage romance during the seasons.

Millie Bobby Brown As Eleven

Season 4 wouldn’t be the same without Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, the most iconic character of Stranger Things. Chief Hopper’s surrogate daughter Eleven was introduced to the real world as an awe-inspiring girl, who has since grown into a fiery teenager who uses her Telekinetic powers to protect her friends and family.

Noah Schnapp As Will Byers

From the very start, Noach Schnapp’s Will Byers will be back in Stranger Things 4, good friends with Finn Wolfhard’s Mike Wheeler. Will disappeared in season 1, naturally, and for the first Season, his mystery was the main complot. Hallucinations and flashbacks plagued him after his return from the Upside Down away from the Earth, but he has had time to hang out with his friends.

Gaten Matarazzo As Dustin Henderson

Another core community member, Gaten Matarazzo, is Dustin. Dustin started as one of Stranger Things’ nerdiest character, but, as the show progressed, his nerdy features became useful in many adventures and his ability to use technology.

Caleb McLaughlin As Lucas Sinclair

Caleb McLaughlin, the fourth member of Stranger Things ‘ core friendship group, will be returning for season 4 as Lucas Sinclair. On many of their journeys, Lucas has joined Will, Mike, and Dustin and also got to some of himself as the series progressed.

Winona Ryder As Joyce Byers

One of the most notable characters of Stranger Things since the first Season, Winona Ryder, will continue her portrait of Joyce Byers for the next Season. At first, Joyce was introduced as Will Byers’ jumpy and increasingly suspicious mother. She was distraught when her son went missing but has been a long way since season 1.

David Harbour As Chief Jim Hopper

The biggest shocker at the end of Season 3 was Jim Hopper’s “death,” a fan favorite and leading figure since season 1. In the 3rd Season, Hopper seemingly dies in the Starcourt center, but the 4th teaser of Season revealed that Hopper lives.

Joe Keery As Steve Harrington

After season 1, Joe Keery has been at Stranger Things, but Steve Harrington’s character in that time grew significantly. He started as a common jerk from Nancy but became an empathic elder brother to characters like Dustin, who puts over his charges the welfare of his charges.

Sadie Sink As Max Mayfield

One of the few main characters not interested since season 1 of Stranger Things will be Max Mayfield, a young Hawkin who has friends Eleven for season 2. Max teaches eleven how to be a typical teenager, and in seasons 2 and 3, both take part in a series of misadventures, trying to navigate romance with their love interests Mike and Lucas.

Charlie Heaton And Natalia Dyer As Jonathan Byers And Nancy Wheeler

The older siblings of Mike and Will will return for season 4 for Stranger Things, both Nancy Wheeler and Jonathan Byers. The couple has been together several times since they began investigating Will’s disappearance in season 1, and since then, they have been close. While Jonathan was initially little more than a social outcast with Nancy crush, he became a couple since then and is likely to continue in Season 4.

Priah Ferguson As Erica Sinclair

Priah Ferguson returns as Erica Sinclair, now a regular series. The little sister of Lucas is worming her way into being on more than a few escapades in season 3.

Maya Hawke As Robin Buckley

Maya Hawke will resume her appearance in Stranger Things season 3 as Robin Buckley. One of Steve’s friends at Scoops Ahoy, Robin, and Steve became an archetype of fan favorites as they bonded over time, and when they came to Steve in a moving scene at the beginning of September 3, they became the first LGBTQ+ character confirmed.

Cara Buono As Karen Wheeler

As Karen Wheeler, Mike, and Nancy’s wife, Cara Buono, will come back in Season 4 in Stranger Things. While married, Karen flirted with and contemplated an affair with Billy in Season 3 of Stranger Things, and the effect that it would have on her in Season 4 remains to be seen.

Brett Gelman As Murray Bauman

Perhaps the most shocking return character, Brett Gelman, will be back in his role as the leading cast member for the 4th Season of Stranger Things. Murray Bauman got introduced in season 2 as a fluent Russian conspiracy theorist who helped Hopper and Joyce translate Alexei for the late Russian scientist.
