Seattle Shooting Left 16-Year-Old Boy Dead And A 14-Year-Old Brutally Injured

Two teens are killed in a fatal shooting in Seattle

A 16-year-old boy was killed and a 14-year-old boy was injured Monday morning in an attack fired on the edge of a protest area known as CHOP in the Capitol Hill area of Seattle.

According to the reports, police said they believed the teenagers were in a white Cherokee jeep seen in observation footage crashing into a roadblock while “several unknown people” fired bullets at him.

“Investigators looked for evidence in the jeep, but it was clear that the crime scene was disturbed,” police said.

One of the victims cannot succumb the wound and die

The Harborview Medical Center said that one person with gunshot wounds was hospitalized in a private car around 3:15 am, and a second person was admitted by the Seattle firefighters after about 15 minutes. The hospital said that until 5:40 in the morning, one of the two died in critical condition.

CHOP refers to a protest organized in the Capitol Hill building, and the names of the protesters gave numerous blocks around the Eastern District and Cal Anderson Park which they occupied for three weeks, as the police left the area during the protests sparked by the death of George Floyd at the hands of the police in Minneapolis. Initially, it was called CHAZ, the independent region of Capitol Hill.

At a press conference later in the day, Seattle police chief Carmen Best said, “Enough.”

“We must be able to return to the area,” said Best. “This is dangerous and unacceptable.”

This is the fifth deadly shoot in past 10 days

In the past ten days, four shootings have taken place along the edges of the CHOP – including yet another fatal shooting, as reported- but protesters say the occupation is not a cause of violence.

Antoine Polar, 43, said: “The bloodshed you’re talking about has nothing to do with movement. These are the people who would have done it in North Seattle or South Seattle anyway – they only focused here. ”

The best, however, differed greatly.

He said: “There are many people injured and injured and we have to do something about it.”

No arrests were made in any of the gunshot episodes in the area.
