The filming of The Witcher season 2 is already in progress, with most of the new cast members, including Kristofer Hivju as Nivellan, now announcing the series. Nonetheless, new speculation reveals that Hivju is not the only former star in the Game of Thrones in Season 2 as a new report suggests that Natalie Dormer might be a part of the cast.
The unsolicited is best known for Natalie Dormer’s appearance as Margaery Tyrell in Game of Thrones— a role that won her two nominations for the Screen Actors Guild. Dormer has appeared in a number of other TV ventures and movies and would certainly be a major addition to the cast.
Natalie Dormer In The Witcher Season 2
The Witcher news reports her likely casting. It mentions that fans should take it with a grain of salt, but essentially the report comes from a member of the crew who posts on social networks. “As you recall every day, literally it was a Saturday at The Witcher. Take the edited member of the crew with Natalie Dormer smiling, dancing, and riding horses.”
Now, while Dormer seems to be socializing with the crew members of The Witcher, it doesn’t really mean she is involved in the production. It is likely that Dormer was meeting with friends, without remembering that she could be too busy with her main cast in Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, which can be seen in Season 2 of The Witcher. In spite of this, fans should not be too excited yet.
Kim Bodnia As Vesemir
In the meantime, Season 2 of The Witcher has already played most of its main roles. It recently confirmed that Kim Bodnia would be cast as Vesemir, a role previously rumored to be played by Mark Hamill. Vesemir is very probably one of the most awaited new characters for the fans in season 2 of The Witcher, and it will be fascinating to see his stories in the next season.
Sadly, Netflix viewers have a long time to wait until they can see Vesemir in action. The Witcher season 2 premieres in 2021, so that fans can watch new episodes a year or so later.
