Police arrested the suspect of NYC shooting
New York City police said they believed the suspects were responsible for two separate shootings that took place a few hours from Manhattan last week.
In the incident, a 19-year-old woman was killed and a 7-year-old girl was injured, as was a 19-year-old man. Three other people were killed overnight in the Bronx, part of a total of 24 hours of victims.

Police say nineteen-year-old Erica Lopez’s fatal shootings took place on Fifth Avenue near 27th Street shortly after midnight. The Connecticut teenager was shot twice in the chest after a gunman fired from a car, walking away from Madison Square Park. Andres Arias, 21, was also injured by a bullet but survived. The two victims were found lying on the sidewalk.
Charges for the crime
New York police believe that the hitman responsible for the deadly shootings in Erika Lopez was 27-year-old Rudi Oasis from Queens, New York. Oasis was arrested over the weekend and charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a firearm.
The fatal shootings came hours after a 7-year-old girl and a 19-year-old man were killed in East Harlem. The girl was grazing in her leg when the fire broke out when the teenagers started fighting on the corner of 102 102 Street Street around 6:00 PM. Police said Thursday. He didn’t think it was the intended goal. Both victims are expected to live.
Police arrested a 16-year-old boy in connection with the shooting of a 7-year-old girl
Three other people were killed overnight. Two of them were 18 and a 26-year-old man in the Fordham department in the Bronx and the other in Arverne, Queens.
Armed violence increased in New York City this month. Last weekend, there were 28 shooting episodes across the city and 38 victims. Compared to this period last year, in 2020 there were 119 additional shootings and 158 other victims.
On Thursday, a man who worked in a nearby auto repair shop heard gunshots but didn’t realize what it was.
