A man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for physically assaulting a 15-year-old girl.
David Carpio, convicted of physically assaulting a 15-year-old girl in an ambulance, was sentenced on Thursday to 10 years in a California jail.
Sentenced To 10 Years
34-year-old David Carpio was sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty last year to touching the girl and to physically assaulting another teenager outside of his job. He is also registered as a physical offender.
Prosecutors said that the 34-year-old was an emergency medical technician for a private ambulance company in 2017 when he touched and caressed the 15-year-old girl as she was being taken to Tri-City Medical Center in Oceanside.
The emergency medical technician also asked the girl her social media details and contacted her after the incident, according to a lawsuit registered by the girl’s family against two ambulance services company that had employed Carpio.
Prosecutors said that the 34-year-old also assaulted another girl on numerous occasions several years earlier.
The 34-year-old, David Carpio, was charged with molestation and other physical offenses. David Carpio pleaded guilty last August to physical penetration of one minor with a foreign object and physical battery of the other.
David Carpio was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the crimes he had done to the girls and violating the rules and regulations of the ambulance company.
