A 56-year-old man had killed a 51-year-old woman for honking at the man.
The 56-year-old Angelo O. Borreson man has been charged with fatally shooting a 51-year-old woman as she sat in her vehicle outside his home near Roseau, Minn.
The 56-year-old was charged on Friday in Roseau County District Court with second-degree assault and second-degree murder in associate with the death of 51-year-old Angela M. Wynne on Wednesday outside the house near Badger.
The 56-year-old man was taken into custody at the scene, and he remained jailed with a bail of $750,000 ahead of a March 16 court appearance.
The 56-year-old man told officials that Wynne drove to the house in the 27800 blocks of County Road 4 that morning to assist him in getting gasoline for his vehicle, according to the criminal complaint.
The 51-year-old Wynne arrived before the 56-year-old Borreson was ready to leave and began yelling at him to hurry while honking her horn, the criminal complaint continued.
The 56-year-old Borreson stated that he went outside and shot the 51-year-old Wynne many times with a shotgun and called 911. The charges read that he also said that he did not mean for the gun to fire. The gunshot was an accident.
The authorities have not released further information about the incident.
The 56-year-old man will be on trial again on March 16, 2020.
