California police arrested a middle-aged man for molesting a 2-year-old boy
A molestation offender in California broke into a car in San Leandro and kissed a two-year-old boy, the San Leandro Police Department said.
Ralph Peter Schmidt-Dunker, 45, was arrested last week and formally charged with indecent assault on a child under 14 this week.
The suspect managed to escape from the spot
The accident occurred on July 4 in Thrasher Park, when the boy’s grandmother was putting the baby on a car seat, according to the reports. The grandmother dragged Schmidt-Dunker away from the baby and he escaped but the grandmother gave the police a detailed description.
The investigation revealed that Schmidt-Dunker had not complied with his assault offender registration for three years.
“Due to the criminal act he committed against a two-year-old victim, and the fact that he was registered as a molestation offender due to inadequacy, detectives believed that his actions could become more aggressive towards our young population. and he wanted to detain him quickly, “said police lieutenant Ted Henderson.” We made him a top priority and found him in a homeless camp in San Francisco, where he was arrested for probable cause without incident.
Charges against Drunker
According to the police, Schmidt-Dunker is in custody without bail.
