Melissa McCarthy arrived on the Ellen Show to discuss her role in coming Disney live-action sequel of The Little Mermaid.
Melissa McCarthy’s Thoughts About The Role
While the movie is still in the early stages of making, McCarthy revealed how she was relishing the time when she got selected for the role.
The 49 years old actress stated: ‘I present Ursula, the sea witch. It is so fun; we’re just in practice. It’s been a complete blast. Stepping into the world of Rob Marshall, it’s like a frenzied dream, I just went to London for a week, I was like, ‘I don’t get to go dancing camp for a week.’
All-day he’s like, ‘Do you want to slide down this 40-foot clamshell?’ I’m like, ‘Yes! Of course, I do. What are you, insane?’ It’s been passionately inventive.’

Cast And Crew Of ‘The Little Mermaid’
Melissa McCarthy will be entering Disney cast that already stars Halle Bailey (Grown-ish) as Ariel, Javier Bardem (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales), Jacob Tremblay as Flounder, Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric, Awkwafina as Scuttle, and Daveed Diggs as Sebastian.
According to a source, Original Film Composer and Disney Legend, Alan Menken, will come together with Lin-Manuel Miranda to proffer the timeless songs composed by the late great Howard Ashman.
Miranda and Menken will also join four original singles to the soundtrack. There is no comment on any of the singles from The Little Mermaid Broadway version that will seem in the movie.
McCarthy will be the newest to present ‘s legendary . First voiced by Pat Carroll in the 1989 anime , Ursula was most-recently performed by Queen in ‘s “The Live!” McCarthy gave the voice to a Kim Possible side persona called Amy Hall.
