Altered Carbon was created for TV by Laeta Kalogridis and based on the books by Richard K. Morgan.
Altered Carbon is a world where human beings are implanted as babies by a stack in their back, which stores their minds and memories and can be transferred from one body into the next. Takeshi is an old soldier-turned-rebel who fell in love with the leader of an opposition group that tried to restore a natural balance between life and death. In season 2, Takeshi succeeds in following up on his long-lasting love Quellcrist Falconer to find her only a changed woman with a violent blood feud.
Will There Be A Altered Carbon Season 3?
Altered Carbon has not been renewed for the third season yet, although, for Netflix, it is not rare. The streaming service usually awaits from a few weeks to a few months to announce a renewal decision. The end will possibly expect information concerning Season 3 of Altered Carbon of April 2020.
The Altered Carbon 2 season was long waiting, and it launched more than two years after the first season on Netflix. This is due in part to the waiting time of Netflix for a renewal decision; Altered Carbon Season 2 was only confirmed five months after the first season, in July 2018.
Star Anthony Mackie also had a busy program with Avengers: End Game until late 2018, then Synchronic Science Filming Thriller until January 2019. If Altered Carbon 3 has similar delays, fans may need to wait until 2022 for their return to Takeshi, but it is more likely to release them by 2021 with a quicker renewal decision.
At the final battle of the Elder-possessed Carrera, Poe was present but was violently shut down shortly before the sacrifice of Takeshi. The last thing he does before disintegration is to write a sticky note with a decryption key for Takeshi’s DHF, but when precisely that DHF was transferred to Poe’s memory is unknown. We have to wait until Stage 3 of Altered Carbon to see how much this Takeshi knows, and to see what body it will turn on.
Altered Carbon Season 1 was to solve a mystery in Takeshi to gain its independence, and he used it to trace the source in season 2. After Quell has traveled off Harlan’s World, attempting to revive the rebellion elsewhere, Takeshi can either pursue her or remain in Harlan’s World, and work with Takeshi Prime. And there might be a significant time delay, so Takeshi could be almost anywhere when we see him next.
