A 36 years old man from Rolling Hills Estates pretended as a delivery driver to visit the house of a girl,9, he met on social media was convicted Tuesday to 10 years and eight months in state jail for child abuse crimes, the officials said.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office stated in a news release, The 36 years old man James Anthony Gonzales declared no contest last November to one count of possessing an explicit video of children and two counts of lewd deeds on a child below 14, both crimes.
Gonzales was sentenced to assault an underage in 2017
The 36-year-old man was sentenced to assault an underage relative in a 2017 incident, and a similar crime in 2003 when police state he inappropriately rubbed a minor who was a family pal.
The DA’s office revealed that in November 2018, he was jailed after showing up at the 9-year-old’s home under the appearance of delivering food.
Gonzales meeting young girls on TikTok
The girl’s mother called police, who found Gonzales had been pretending as a 13-year-old boy and meeting young girls on TikTok (a messaging and video networking app).
The Sheriff’s Department announced a notice last February, telling Gonzales had started vulgar conversations with more than 20 kids by TikTok.
Detectives revealed that Gonzale had various profiles across other platforms, including Instagram, Snapchat, and MeetMe.
The police said that an investigation also turned up child lewd on the offender’s cellphone and processor, according to a source.
