The movie was directed by Guy Ritchie and featured Mena Massoud as Aladdin, Will Smith as Genie and Naomi Scott as Jasmine.

Following the unbelievable achievement that was Aladdin, numerous have been anticipating for Disney to state that a sequel is in the productions.

Last summer, Producer Dan Lin told it was something that the production house was contemplating, but it had yet to be authenticated that another part would happen.

While some could consider creating a sequel that would be simple as the animated Aladdin got two direct-to-home-video sequels, the live-action story presented the three leading characters’ new endings.

Disney has appointed John Gatins (Flight) and Andrea Berloff (Straight Outta Compton) to pen the screenplay for Aladdin 2, according to a new report.

Following six months of negotiations on where a sequel could move, the duo chooses an original story that producers loved and desired to move ahead with.

The remake will be a theatrical delivery, and there is the expectation that Massoud, Scott, and Smith will all come back; however, none of them has appointments for another movie and producers don’t think to talk about it with them until this new script is finished. According to a source, Guy Ritchie will come back to direct.

The animated remake served stories of Jafar coming back and Aladdin seeing that his father was still existing.

Likely, there could still be some well-known components from those remakes in Aladdin 2, but Lin said previous year they want a new story and this information on the growing show that has not turned.
