The Texas police have arrested a man from Texas after he allegedly tried to kill his girlfriend of six years by choking after being inspired by a show about infidelity.
The victim told the police on Wednesday that 36-year-old Rudy Esparza was watching a program about infidelity after that he grew aggravated with his girlfriend of six years.
Sources reported that fearing Esparza would strike her, and the girlfriend informed police that she ‘curled up in a ball.’
According to an arrest affidavit, Esparza allegedly choked his girlfriend of six years.
The 36-year-old man has choked his girlfriend from behind as she slept in the bed, according to sources.
Esparza informed the police that he was ‘wrestling’ with his girlfriend at the time of the conflict.
The arrest affidavit also said that the 26-year-old suspect has three prior family violence convictions.
After his girlfriend informed the police about the incident, Esparza was taken in custody for this act of assault. The 36-year-old man was further detained with charged with assault charges and family violence, which in turn comes under the second-degree felony charges
His bail has been set at $40,000 for the crime he has committed and is trial is waiting.
The police have not released the identity of the victim. The authorities do not issue further information about the incident.
